Strangers in the Night by Jaycee Edward & Helena Stone

The Drive-by Promo

“I’m so excited! Wanna know why? Jaycee Edward and Helena Stone are going to stop by and tell us all about their new novella, Strangers in the Night. I know you all have so many questions, and so do I. I hope they bring their guys with them to the party ~waggles eyebrows~ don’t you? I mean, what would a book release celebration be without the authors and their men??

They should be here any minute, but they don’t know everyone’s out back, so grab a drink for yourself, and I’ll go check the front for them.”

Walking through the kitchen, I grab a bottle of water and hear a door snick closed. A few moments later… tires squeal from a vehicle speeding away. “That’s odd. Everyone’s supposed to be out back.” I head into the living room and set my water on the coffee table. It’s then I notice the envelope. I open it, pulling out a pristine [and gorgeous] copy of Strangers in the Night, and a note of apology from Jaycee and Helena about not being able to stay to answer questions, and– who’s in my house arguing? The note from Jaycee and Helena forgotten, I go to investigate. I mean, it is my house, right?

Callum: Listen, this is getting ridiculous. How many people do Jaycee and Helena expect us to visit? Surely their audience know all about us by now, and then some. I moved to the middle of nowhere for a reason, you know. There is such a thing as privacy. And now they’ve dragged us halfway across the country to visit someone we don’t even know. I don’t care how charming she is *glances at Deidre* – sorry lass, nothing personal – but really, enough is enough.

Slade: Oh my gosh, Sir. The writer ladies are the ones that told us to drop this book on the coffee table and run. Why are you being so grumpy with her?  *turns puppy dog eyes on Deidre* He’s not usually like this. Really, he’s not. Well, maybe at first he is… just a little… but once you get to know him, he’s actually a really, really good man.

Callum: Grumpy? Did you just call me grumpy? I am not, and never have been grumpy. I’m just exhausted from all this running around. I want to go home, tie you up and…

Slade: I know, Sir. I’m tired too. But, to be honest, the writer ladies have done all the talking up ‘til now and wait… What?

Callum: I see I managed to get your attention.

Slade: One hundred percent of it, Sir.

Callum: Mmmm. Yes. *glances at Slade’s crotch* I see that. Unfortunately, we have another not-so-small problem. I think we’ve been left without a ride home.

Slade: *peeks outside* You mean the squealing tires was them leaving?

Callum: Yes, lad. I guess they’ve truly had enough. Think your leg is up for the long, walk home?

Slade: It wasn’t actually my leg I was worried about… Sir. *spots Deidre* Hey, maybe she’ll drive us home!

Callum: I don’t know lad, you can’t just depend on strangers to sort your problems out for you.

Slade: *grins* Well, it worked for me, Sir.

So, after Callum sweet talks me (yes, Slade was right – Callum can be a really sweet guy) into driving them to who-knows-where, I head back outside to get rid of my guests.

“Hey everybody! Sorry to say that Jaycee and Helena–nor their guys–will be stopping by in person to answer your questions. I do have it on good authority however, that any questions you should have can be found at some of their other tour stops. What I do have is more information about their book and where you can get a copy for yourself! Oh! And if you’re on Facebook, Jaycee and Helena are hijacking the Dreamspinner page at 11:00am Eastern tomorrow (March 31, 2015) for a few hours. Be sure to stop by and say hi!”

[Many thanks to Jaycee and Helena for letting me spend some alone time in a car with Callum and Slade (that brogue *swoons *) stopping by and letting me pimp out their wonderful story to you. The drive by intro above was completely my doing (with the exception of Callum and Slade’s convo–that was totally, well, Callum and Slade). The idea however, was inspired by a conversation with one of the authors. Now about Strangers in the Night…]

About the Authors:

Jaycee Edward
jayceeJaycee Edward is no longer seventeen years old but don’t tell her that. She’s actually a tad older and lives in northeast Ohio with her handsome husband and one, big gorgeous dog. She has two grown stepdaughters and is proud to be the ultra-cool Nana to two amazingly incredible grand-teens. Jaycee loves pistol shooting and is has earned her Bar 7 Sharpshooter status in the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program and hopes to someday reach the level of Expert Marksman. She is the token liberal and constant source of fascination to the other members at her gun range. Jaycee knows way too much about the inner workings of Walt Disney World and anything related to One Direction. She’d love to pull you into the rabbit hole with her. All you have to do is ask. Find her there or contact her through social media.

Helena Stone
helenaHelena Stone can’t remember a life before words and reading. After growing up in a household where no holiday or festivity was complete without at least one new book, it’s hardly surprising she now owns more books than shelf space while her Kindle is about to explode.

The urge to write came as a surprise. The realisation that people might enjoy her words was a shock to say the least. Now that the writing bug has well and truly taken hold, Helena can no longer imagine not sharing the characters in her head and heart with the rest of the world.

Having left the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam for the peace and quiet of the Irish Country side she divides her time between reading, writing, long and often wet walks with the dog, her part-time job in a library, a grown-up daughter and her ever loving and patient husband.
